Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information and Risk Assessments

All churches were closed in March 2020. During the closure services were recorded and streamed in the St. Giles' YouTube Channel.

If risks were assessed and appropriate contingencies or mitigations implemented, churches were permitted to re-open for private prayer in June 2020. Advice and Risk Assessment Templates were provided by the Church of England - see Church of England Guidance.

From July 2020 public worship was allowed and the Parish Eucharist restarted but without singing. As soon as possible organists were invited to practise on the Practice Organ. In Sepember choirs were permitted and ours has returned.

Sadly by Christmas a second lockdown was imposed. Now, in May 2021, limited re-opening has been allowed and there is hope of a return to "normality" in July 2021.

The following Risk Assessments should be read with the corresponding advice e.g. Church of England Coronavirus Advice.
