Our Clergy

The Rector

The Rev'd Canon Jack Noble

Fr Jack grew up just south of London and studied history at university. It was during this time that his faith came alive, having not grown up in church and being a convinced atheist throughout his teens. Discerning a call to the priesthood, after graduating he served in an inclusive and vibrant parish in Manchester for a year before being formed for priesthood at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield in West Yorkshire. He spent three years at Mirfield, living alongside the Monastic Community there, and completing further studies. This included wonderful extended periods of exchange in Zimbabwe and Barbados.

As a priest, he first served in a thriving West London suburban parish church and before coming to St Giles’, in Central London at St Marylebone. As Assistant Priest and Chaplain to two secondary schools, his ministry was among the residents, students and young people, staff, businesses, local institutions and centres of creativity in the area.

Here at St Giles, he loves being part of our vibrant, local church that loves its community, as together with our Ecumenical Friends we look to discover what God has in store for the next chapter in our long and wonderful story.

Assistant Curate

The Rev'd Lucy Newman Cleeve

Deacon Lucy brings huge gifts and wisdom to St Giles’, her background in the Arts and curation and her continuing work on a PhD in Theology and Art among them. Working half time in the parish (alongside PhD work and family life), Dn Lucy continues her formation in the ‘bread and butter’ of ministry as a deacon for one year (2024-5) and then (God and the bishop willing) as a priest for a further two years. As part of her role, Dn Lucy is the chaplain at the City YMCA.

Assistant Priest

The Rev'd Edwin Wilton-Morgan

Fr Edwin Wilton-Morgan is our Assistant Priest. Originally from Shropshire, he read Modern Languages at St Andrews, where he began to discern a vocation to the priesthood whilst worshipping in the Scottish Episcopal Church.

After a year's placement at a parish church in London, Fr Edwin trained for the ministry at Westcott House in Cambridge and was ordained in 2021. He served his title in the Diocese of Norwich, as the Curate of Norwich Cathedral and the Julian Shrine, before joining St Giles’ as Assistant Priest in 2023. His partner, Fr Taylor, is Assistant Priest in the neighbouring parish of St Bartholomew the Great.
