Journey through Lent with Julian of Norwich

Come and enrich your Lenten devotion with a series of talks

culminating in a pilgrimage to the Julian shrine in Norwich

 

2nd March, 10am: “Julian And Charity” - St Giles', Cripplegate

9th March, Pilgrimage to the Julian Shrine, Norwich

 

Sunday 17th March - Come and paint party

- an informal picnic lunch and 'all hands-on deck' to repaint and repair the tired looking vestry kitchen and church loos. After the Parish Eucharist Sunday 17th March. Bring a paint brush to wield or a pork pie to feed those that are.

Lorraine’s daughter Grace is running a half marathon for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The Revd Steven Cooper, Minister at Wesley’s Chapel

Steven will be leaving on 29 April to take up a new role as National Connexional Ecumenical Officer for the Methodist Church. He has been a good friend to us at St Giles’ and we thank him for his support and enthusiasm for our Ecumenical Covernant as well as his help during our Interregnum.

Ecumenical Holy Land Pilgrimage 2024 

11-18 March with Bishop Sarah and RC Bishop Nicholas Hudson organised by Fr Jack. Cost £1,975.00. More information on poster in church.

Please note that because of the ongping war in the Middle East  the date of the Pilgrimage has been deferred to Autumn 2024 or March 2025.

 

Please pray for all the people of the Holy Land

God of mercy and compassion, of grace and reconciliation, pour down your power upon all your children in the Holy Land: Jews, Muslims, Christians, Palestinians, Israelis.

Let hatred be turned into love, fear to trust, despair to hope, oppression to freedom, occupation to liberation, that violent encounters may be replaced with loving embraces, and peace and justice can be experienced by all.  Amen
